As gravações de 'Totally Driven' foram feitas enquanto estavam se preparando para os concertos 'Acoustically Driven' e 'Electrically Driven'. Anteriormente, essas gravações de 2001 eram lançadas sob o nome confuso 'Remasters', mas esse título saiu do catálogo muito rapidamente.
Este lançamento teve toda a contribuição da banda, incluindo seu re-branding como 'Totally Driven' e foi o primeiro lançamento pela sua própria gravadora, Uriah Heep Records.
